Project Design and Coordination

PlaceMatters provides project design and coordination based on our extensive experience with decision-making processes and tools.  Working closely with a community, we work to define the public participation process, agenda and outreach strategies to ensure a representative cross section of community participants and high quality results. We assist with the design and implementation of public input processes that garner meaningful and diverse participation. 

eMeetings

PlaceMatters designs and runs eParticipation projects using appropriate technologies to create an ongoing dialogue with participants and community members. Keypad Polling

Keypad polling allows meeting participant to answer questions, rank alternatives, prioritize community action and more using a hand held voting device.  Votes are anonymous and provide a way to ensure that all voices are heard.  PlaceMatters assists communities in planning and implementing keypad polling events.

Interactive Websites

PlaceMatters has expertise in developing websites with features including interactive webmapping, online forums, wikis and more. We can recommend the right platform for desired outcomes and assist in the development and maintenance of websites for public engagement and decision-making projects.

Capacity Building

PlaceMatters works to improve the ability of organizations and communities to facilitate meaningful public engagement.  To that end, we provide capacity building and training to assist in the development of skills such as meeting facilitation, interactive website design, keypad polling and more.
